Just like human beings, your pets will need vaccination as well especially if you have a dog. You must maintain the health of your dog and protect them from all the viruses and diseases that could harm them. Some of these vaccines can even be administered to them as early as 6 weeks old. The vaccine can even help them to become stronger too. When you are going to get your dog vaccinated, usually the vet will use a dog vaccination chart to keep track of what vaccines have been done and when it was done.

Doing regular vaccines to your dog(s) can protect them from harmful diseases such as parvovirus, distemper, leptospirosis, hepatitis, rabies, and many more. When can you use your dog vaccination chart? Since vaccination for dogs can be done quite early when they are young, many vaccines can be done at different ages too. For example, when they are 6-8 weeks old, you can give them vaccines for distemper and parvovirus. For a 10-12 weeks old dog, you can give them DHPP (distemper, adenovirus – hepatitis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus).

You can choose when you want to vaccinate your dog and starting what age you want them to be done. It is highly recommended that you do them as soon as possible to protect them faster. You shouldn’t forget to keep making sure that your vet updates the dog vaccination chart. You should also always bring the chart when your dog is going to get vaccinated. The older your dog’s get, the more vaccines there are available. You could get them all together at the same time or you could do them separately too. After your dog gets its first vaccine shot, it will also need to regularly get other shots as well. This is to ensure that they are protected at all times because the immunity system on a dog can fade over time.
